As a dedicated, IFS-trained practitioner, I was curious, but also dubious, about the Relational Intelligence (RI) model. My curiosity was piqued by the three pillars on which the RI model rests: attachment theory, polyvagal theory and IFS. My experience of working with this model for almost two years shows that it is remarkably effective compared to IFS. The RI model goes further and is able to help clients release painful feelings that have been held at an unconscious level. Using RI's bottom-up approach, both the lower and upper brains can be processed, giving previously blocked clients the opportunity to move forward. François' teaching style is patient, informative and inspiring. I felt so fulfilled after each training session. What's more, I've made many incredible new connections with other colleagues, while my customers tell me they've finally found what they were looking for. I believe that relational intelligence is essential to clinical practice and has therefore become my main therapeutic modality.
