Dear friends,
I am pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of a book in which I had the honor of participating by writing a chapter entitled :
The Relational Intelligence Model of Psychotherapy:
A Neurobiological and Relational Approach to Treating Trauma.
I invite you to discover this book, written in English and co-edited by Stephen Porges. It is part of an innovative collection of research and theory from leading figures in the fields of psychotrauma and somatic therapies. It represents a significant consolidation of innovative research and clinical approaches to treating trauma through a variety of somatic modalities.
Over the past six decades, a multitude of therapeutic methods have emerged worldwide, revolutionizing the treatment of trauma and the management of existential distress. However, these approaches have often diverged, preventing the development of a coherent and distinct field, independent of traditional paradigms.
The book combines the work of some of the world's leading experts in the field of psychological trauma.
It aims to delineate this new field of research and clinical intervention. It elucidates the common thread linking the authors and introduces a new clinical perspective. This perspective is based on the recognition of the profound significance of the body-to-body relationship between therapist and patient, the essential role of establishing trust in the clinical context as a prerequisite for profound transformation, and the possibility of «questioning» the body, finding «unthought-of» pathways to transformation.
