As mental health professionals, as well as those in the justice and education sectors, become more aware of the notion of dissociation, many professionals are seeking to learn more about how to deal with it, and even to train in it. In recent years, new techniques have been spreading in France: EMDR, of course, but also ICV, Somatic Experiencing, sensory-motor therapy, ego-state therapy, IFS, etc...
Other approaches are developing applications in these indications: schema therapy, hypnosis, mindfulness, in particular.
Including a general review of the notion of dissociation and its neurobiological underpinnings, the aim of this manual is to present these different approaches to the management of dissociation and trauma from a theoretical and clinical angle, with each author illustrating the possible evolution of dissociative or post-traumatic disorders with the technique described.
This book is therefore made up of various contributions from specialists in the field of trauma and dissociation: C. Barois, S. Boon, G. Bouvier, L. Carluer, C. Clément, H. Dellucci, JD Guelfi, M. Hopchet, A. Janner Steffan, E. Josse, F. Le Doze, B. Pascal, H. Romano, M. Schittecatte, M. Silvestre, V. Simon, J. Smith, C. Tarquinio and O. van der Hart.
Un colloque, organisé le 1er octobre prochain, permettra un temps d’échanges et de réflexion autour des méthodes d’intégration possibles dans la thérapie des troubles dissociatifs et des traumatismes complexes.
It represents a unique opportunity to bring together the different currents of dissociation and trauma psychotherapy.
Dr Le Doze will speak on the subject of dissociation in IFS.
We look forward to seeing you there!
